There’s been a huge shift to the online world over the past few years, and if the recent times have taught us anything, it’s that we need to keep connected online to keep our businesses going from strength to strength. But how?

For many, the answer is as simple as having a bespoke broadband solution for their business. But, the problem is often knowing where to start. Fortunately, in true Airband fashion, our broadband heroes were on hand to help.

To support local businesses, we welcomed entrepreneurs across Shropshire to our broadband business breakfast, to not only network with each other over a bite to eat and a brew, but to delve deeper into the challenges of operating a successful rural business in these post Covid times.

Airband representatives Mark Trafford, Brad York, Clive Leworthy and Stuart Austin hosted the event with locals to explain the benefits a custom broadband solution can bring to their business. They also spoke on the many ways in which rural businesses like them can access the latest and greatest technology to access superfast speeds and greater reliability – light years away from anything they’ve experienced before.

Our mission to deliver better broadband for all is already in full swing across Shropshire, with Airband’s fixed wireless network serving thousands of happily connected customers, and a brand new fibre-to-the-premises network underway in areas such as Linley Brook and Market Drayton too. There’s never been a better time to help businesses get on board with broadband they deserve.

It wasn’t just Airband in the hot seat though, guest speaker Stephen O’Neill, Managing Director of the local Wood Brewery and Plough Inn Winstanstow, also took to the stage revealing the urgent need for businesses to adapt. He talked the room through the impact Covid has had on running businesses, the change in customer behaviour online, and shared examples of how his brewery had seized the opportunity to change and provide for their customers in new ways, by embracing the digital world and all it has to offer.

The event was a fantastic success, with over 40 local entrepreneurs braving the fuel shortages to attend! It’s clear this was a conversation that needed to happen in Shropshire. We’re proud to be the go-to broadband provider for businesses and consumers alike, helping deliver broadband solutions that can boost businesses in tandem with their speeds.
