Since Airband’s humble beginnings in 2009, Founders Red and Miranda Peel made it their mission to do exactly that – by delivering better broadband to people in rural areas.
Continuing the success over a decade later, we’ve built a team of colleagues reaching far and wide from North Wales down to Devon in the Southwest.

Company events
At Airband we think that social events are just as important as working hard. Our Summer and Winter parties bring our ever-growing team closer together and celebrate our successes.
Its not just Winter parties to look forward to! We recently undertook a rebrand, to launch the new and exciting Airband. To celebrate this we had a whole company event to celebrate our successes and look forward to what the future holds for the company and as individuals. Charities we support
Macmillan is one of Airband’s chosen Charities to support, and this year we got involved with their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!
With a delicious Bake Sale, a Sweet & Savoury ‘picnic’ themed social and a virtual ‘coffee morning’ quiz we successfully raised money for a brilliant cause to show our support.
PULSE SURVEY SUCCESS! 69% of employees eligible to take part in our pulse survey shared their views on working for Airband and we raised £500 for local food banks in both Devon and Worcester!
MIND – Our colleague wellbeing is so important to us, and we have invested in developing a number of colleagues to become Mental Health First Aiders and raised money for the charity through colleague surveys and raffles.
Community teams we sponsor
At Airband we love to give back to the local community. Our sponsorship helps towards the running of the club, for example buying new kit, equipment, helping towards any refurbishment that needs doing etc.
Some of the teams we sponsor:
- Westfields FC: based in Hereford, we sponsor all of their junior teams.
- Shrewsbury Town FC: sponsorship of the family stand.
- Upton-upon-Severn RFC: sponsorship of all senior and junior teams.
