Can’t connect to Disney+

We’ve outlined the most common error codes for Disney+ and how to fix them.

Error Code 73

This error is commonly caused by using a VPN whilst attempting to access Disney+. We recommend that you disable all VPN software or change the server you are connecting through to a UK server and try again.

If this does not resolve the issue, you may need to check your device configuration to confirm there are no conflicts between any anti-virus/firewall software. Make sure that your location services are also enabled on your device as this is required. If this issue persists after following all the above steps you will need to contact Disney+ for further support.

Error Codes 24 & 43

These two errors are usually caused by loss of connection, or the selected TV show/movie no longer available in your region. Please check that your device is connected to the internet and all cables are connected correctly. If you have verified that the TV show/movie is still available on Disney+ in your region, please contact us.

Error Code 38

This error is caused by the incorrect time on your device’s operating system. Disney+ requires the date and time to correlate with your time zone otherwise shows will fail to stream. Please check that your device has the correct date and time and try again. If you are unable to resolve these issues, please contact Disney+ support.

Error Codes 40, 42 & 44

These are all variations of the same error, the error code will likely display as: “We’re sorry; we’re having trouble connecting you to the service. Please check to see that you are still connected to the Internet and try again.”

As the above error message reads, this is when your device is having issues with connecting to the Disney+ servers.

Please check https://downdetector.com/status/disney-plus/ to ensure that the service is not currently experiencing an outage.  Check that your device is connected to the network and is receiving a good signal, as a poor signal to your device can also cause these errors. If you have checked all the above and the issue persists, please contact Disney+ support.
