Airband Talk is a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) service which allows you to make phone calls using the internet instead of traditional phone lines. You can add on Airband Talk on to your broadband contract for a small fee.

There are three different packages available with Airband Talk. Pay As You Go (PAYG) is available to add on to your broadband contract. Alternatively, you can add a bundle of minutes on to allow you so many minutes a month. To find out about our packages in more detail visit our Airband Talk page. 

UK local and national calls, and 03 numbers are included in Airband Talk plans. All of our Talk plans include a free 1571 voicemail service.

No, all of our Airband Talk packages come with a free softphone app. It is possible to purchase a physical handset and base station for £114.99.

Yes, you can keep your current analogue phone number. Simply provide your phone number and current provider and we will switch it over to Airband Talk.

Yes, you can make calls through your mobile phone. You will need to download the Cisco Webex mobile phone app to be able to make and receive phone calls. This is free with all plans, however, you will require a mobile signal or a WiFi connection.

Requirements:

  • Android 10 or later (minimum of 3GB of RAM required). We do not support smartphones running Android (Go edition).
  • iPhone: requires iOS 15.5 or later
  • iPad: requires iPadOS 15.5 or later

No, if your broadband is not working, you will not be able to make or receive VoIP phone calls. There is a backup battery for vulnerable customers that will enable you to use your phone if there is a power outage.
