Fixed wireless broadband
Is our solution for reliable broadband when fibre isn’t an option. Our point-to-point radio signal is agile, strong and fast – it’s the Olympic champion of wireless technology – bringing a clear connection wherever you live.
How does fixed wireless work?
In short, fixed wireless broadband, also known as fixed wireless access (FWA), is a type of high-speed internet that uses radio signals rather than cables.
It works by using transmission masts (or poles) which house radios that communicate to a smaller radio receiver at your home.
Fixed wireless technology works on a line-of-sight principle. If the main mast can be seen with no obstruction, then you can get broadband with us. Our skilled team will guide you through the process and provide a comprehensive survey prior to install. Typical wireless speeds are an average of 40Mbps.

What does the Airband equipment look like?
The receiver that will be installed to your property is a small, lightweight piece of equipment – about the size of a 2 pint milk carton.
In the case where your property is a bit further away from our transmitter, the receiver may be a round, dish-like shape as pictured below.
The internal equipment will be installed at the location where the cable comes into the property.
Airband's fixed wireless broadband network provides a signal that's clear, consistent and always connected. Our service is quick to deploy, easy to install and gives reliable internet speeds.
