Our recruitment process

(1) Application

Once you’ve submitted your all-important application, our Talent Acquisition team will get to work reviewing your application and determine whether your experience and qualifications are a perfect match for what we’re looking for.

(2) Screening

If your experience matches the job requirements, the next step is for us to get to know more about you, off paper. Our talent team will arrange a screening call to find out more and ask relevant questions about your application and career to date. Don’t worry though, we’ll take the reins too and share more insights about the role itself, our culture, and what you can expect from your life at Airband.

(3) First interview

If you’ve got the skills we’re looking for, you’ll be offered a first interview which will take place either virtually via teams or face-to-face with two hiring managers. We’ll focus almost exclusively on the role, our values, and your behavioural or technical competencies. But don’t miss the opportunity to ask us any questions you may have too – we’re always on hand to answer away.

(4) Final interview

Interview success? You’re one step closer to beginning your future with Airband. The final stage may involve meeting members of the wider team, with even more opportunities for you and our hiring team to answer any additional questions too. Depending on the job you have applied for, the final interview can also sometimes include a task, psychometric assessment, or a presentation. We’ll be sure to fill you in beforehand, so you’re clued up on what’s expected.

(5) Offer

If you’ve met all our expectations and we meet yours, you can expect an offer to come your way! Ultimately, by the end of this process, we want to be able to assess your motivation and suitability for the job at hand, making sure you’ll fit right in with the rest of our team too. And that works both ways – we want to make sure you’re the right match for us, and we’re the right match for you too.

Are you the connection we’ve been waiting for?

General

Are you interested in applying for a job at Airband? View our list of job vacancies.

Once you’ve found a job, click ‘Apply’ to be taken to the application page, you will be asked to upload your CV and answer any required questions. If you haven’t got a CV, don’t worry there is the option to list all of your experience / qualifications on the application page.

Of course! but please think about the type of role that will suit you and your career goals, and only apply for vacancies that suit your experience and skillset.

We try to get back to everyone within a couple of weeks of applying. With more popular roles, this may take a bit longer. So please, bear with us!

What are Right to Work documents?

It’s our responsibility to ensure anyone we employ is legally entitled to work in the UK. And that’s before your employment commences. So don’t be surprised when we ask you to provide evidence during the application process.

Visit www.gov.uk/legal-right-work-uk to find out which documents you need to show us.

For some roles, we’ll need to verify your credentials – particularly ensuring you are legally permitted to take up an offer of employment. The requirements vary depending on the nature of the position and its level within the Company.

A number of our roles are customer facing and require Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks to be carried out. Our People Services team will advise you on what roles require a check and how to complete the online form.

It is really important that we are compliant as a business and our colleagues have the right certificates and qualifications to carry out certain works. Therefore, we will request copies of your certificates, qualifications and NOPS Card where required. And we can inform our training team if you have any certificates missing so we can get you booked on for training!

Interview Process

Firstly, you’ll have a telephone interview with the talent team – a chat about you, the role, life at Airband and your career background. If all goes well, we’ll invite you for an interview with the hiring team, this could take place virtually via Teams or in the office. Depending on the position you have applied for we may do a 2nd stage interview to allow you to meet more people across the team and get a good feel for life at Airband.

Let your interviewers and the Talent team know what’s going on as soon as possible. If, for whatever reason, you can’t continue, send an email to everyone cc’d on your interview confirmation. That way we can reschedule for a later time or day.

We know how important feedback can be for ongoing career development, so we’ll always do our best to provide it when and where we can. There may be some instances where giving detailed feedback just isn’t possible, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.

We want you to show us you’re great at what you do. But we’re also considering a few other things: Do your values align with our values? Have you done your research? Do you have the specialist, behavioural and technical knowledge required? These are the questions we’ll be asking ourselves as we conduct the interview.

We try our best to get back to you within a few days, although this can sometimes take a little longer if multiple candidates are interviewing for the same role. Feel free to follow up with the Talent team after the interview and reach out with any questions you may have, we are here to support you.
