Gaming set up using superfast broadband

Attention all online gamers, streamers, content creators, and everyone else in between…

If you’re an online user – which, we’re guessing you are if you’re reading this – you’ll want to scroll through these tips to discover how to level up your broadband speeds for the online world.

Yep, we’re talking about ditching the lag and living your online life in the fast lane – and we know a thing or two about that.

It’s simple to know how to reduce your lag and latency, you don’t have to be broadband pro’s like us. Just follow these tried and tested methods to help boost your broadband speeds, and beat the buffering once and for all. (Feel free to thank us later 😉)

Tip 1: Review your speeds

Eager gamer? You’ll need at least 10-20Mbps for streaming, but of course, the higher the speeds, the faster your gaming experience will be. Want a feast full of speeds? Consider switching up your package for a better deal, better speeds, and an all round better service. (We know a good provider if you’re after one…)

Tip 2: Aim low on your latency

How long it takes for data to travel from the source to its destination is called Latency – and the lower the better! A ping rate of below 150milliseconds is good, but 20ms is considered great.

Find out why your ping is so high.

Tip 3: Move your WiFi router

It might seem like a simple one, but making sure your router isn’t obstructed is rule 101. We’re talking moving your router closer to your computer or console, without being too close it’s obstructed by any shelves, walls or even household appliances that can interfere with your wireless signal.

Tip 4: Local server = better latency.

This might seem like a lot of internet jargon buzz words, but it’s not all that techy. In simple terms, playing on a local server in your country will dramatically reduce your ping. As with any signal, the closer you are to it, the better it’ll be.

Tip 5: Upgrade your broadband package:

Now, this one’s a biggie. If your broadband connection isn’t up to scratch to start with, it won’t matter how many tips you try to improve it. The simple solution here is to sort those speeds for good.

Get the connection you deserve and switch to a broadband service you can trust – one that puts you first, doesn’t increase prices mid-contract, and gives you the speeds you need to stay entertained around-the-clock. Yep, we’re talking about little old us!

We won’t mention we’re rated Great on Trustpilot from our fabulous customers too. Instead, we’ll leave you to get a taste of our service for yourself with a nifty 30-days to change your mind… (We don’t think you will once you experience our speeds though!).
