How do I connect my TV to the internet?
If you are having issues with getting your Smart TV to work with your internet, we are here to help with the two main ways to connect your TV to the internet.
The first option is over WiFi. This allows connection to the internet over a greater distance, and eliminates the need for trailing wires in your room.
How to connect TV to WiFi
- Get the tab with your WiFi’s name and password from your router.
- Using the remote, on your TV, find the Menu, then Network Settings, then Set Up a New Connection.
- Enter the WiFi name and password from the tab you grabbed earlier.
- You should be all set!
How to get internet on smart TV
- Go to your TV’s Network Settings
- Choose a new wireless connection
- Select your WiFi
- Enter your password
This might increase the quality of your streaming, as there are no signal obstacles in an ethernet cable but does require your TV to be near the router.
How to get internet on smart TV using a wired connection
- Get an ethernet cable
- Find the port on your smart TV
- Connect an ethernet cable to the port on your TV from your router.
How to connect TV to ethernet
- First, find the ethernet port on the back of your TV, and the password to your WiFi.
- Connect the ethernet port on the back of the TV and the port on the back of your router with an ethernet cable.
- Select menu on the TV remote
- Go to Network Settings, and then use wired internet.
- Enter the WiFi password and start streaming!
