FWA: The next generation of broadband
Fixed wireless access (FWA) is a type of high-speed internet that uses radio signals instead of cables. It works on a line-of-sight principle by using transmission masts (or poles) that communicate to a smaller radio receiver at your home. Essentially, as long as your house can see a mast without obstruction, you can get FWA.
Speeds typically range from around 40Mbps up to as high as 400Mbps meaning you can get as good a speeds similar to most fibre networks.

FAQs about fixed wireless broadband
In short, fixed wireless broadband, also known as fixed wireless access (FWA), is a type of high-speed internet that uses radio signals rather than cables. It works by using transmission masts (or poles) which house radios that communicate to a smaller radio receiver at your home.
This will depend on the speed you choose but you can find all our Airspeed packages above along with any promotions we may be running.
Fixed wireless broadband can be as quick as fibre – so you’ll be sure your broadband can keep up.
See the table above for how quickly you’ll be able to download and upload video games, movies, music and photos.
It’s quick and easy to find out! Simply enter your postcode into our broadband coverage checker and see if you’re within our fixed wireless or fibre network.
No, we don’t charge installation fees. We don’t do this on any of our broadband packages because we offer broadband with no upfront cost.
Our fixed wireless broadband requires a radio receiver to be attached to your property. Our engineer will identify the best place for this as well as where the network cable will enter your home. You will then need an internal connection box inside your home which your router can be plugged into.
