Broadband for towns and cities

We’re not just a rural broadband provider anymore. We also provide ultrafast broadband to a wide range of towns and cities across our network. Pop your postcode in below to see what’s available at your address.

With speeds up to 1000Mbps and regular promotions, you’ll be sure to find the perfect broadband package for you.

Towns and cities within our broadband coverage

Living in a town or city doesn’t automatically mean great broadband. It just means lots of choice. Speeds that drop after 6pm, “fibre” broadband that’s actually copper from the cabinet, and support that’s near impossible to get hold of – this can be the reality of urban broadband.

Airband built its name connecting rural places nobody else would. Now we’re bringing those same ultrafast speeds and fair pricing to towns and cities all across the country. Below are just a sample:

Frequently asked questions

You’re half right! Until recently Airband has been a rural broadband specialist, working to connect small towns, villages and hard-to-reach communities that the big, national providers have often overlooked – that’s still central to what we do.

But, as our network has grown, it has naturally reached the bigger towns and cities that sit between those rural communities. Rather than skip past them, we’ve decided to bring the same ultrafast connections to customers in urban areas too.

So if you live in a town or city and fancy better broadband, pop your postcode into our availability checker to see whether we’ve reached your street yet.

In a town or city you’ve got plenty of providers to choose from, but look a little closer and most of them are selling much the same thing: the same speeds and the same bundles and often with hidden costs.

At Airband we offer the coverage of the big providers with a no upfront fee guarantee.

Our pricing is straightforward, with no upfront costs and no nasty surprises hidden in the small print. And because we’ve spent years getting broadband into the hardest-to-reach corners of the country, we know how to make an installation go smoothly – whether that’s a terrace, a block of flats or a new-build estate.

Yes. You can add an Airband Talk VoIP plan to any of our full fibre packages and keep your existing number when you switch.

Note that we highly recommend sorting now rather than later. The copper phone network that most town and city homes still rely on is being switched off, so if you’ve got a traditional landline it’ll need to move to a digital phone line at some point regardless. Airband Talk runs over your fibre connection, so there’s no extra line to install and no separate line rental to pay. You’ll also get a free softphone app, which means you can take calls to your home number on your mobile wherever you are.

Switching to Airband is simpler than you might think. Once you’ve placed your order, simply sit back, and wait for the day your Airband connection goes live. Once you’re up and running, simply contact your current provider to cancel, so you’re never left without broadband access.

If you’re still in contract elsewhere, your current provider may charge an early exit fee. That’s set by them, not us, so it’s worth checking your contract end date before you order. If you’re near the end, it can be cheaper to wait a few weeks. If you’re not, ask them what the fee is – with the price rises some providers build in, it can still work out cheaper to move.

As for installation, town and city homes are usually quick to connect because the fibre is already on or near your street. You can often even set this up yourself once we send you the router you’ll need.

Pop your postcode in to see if we’re on your street, and we’ll give you a clearer installation date when you order.
