17 best Disney movies of all time

1. Peter Pan

Peter Pan
First up on our list of the best Disney movies is Peter Pan. We all know and love this animated film from back in 1953.

Peter Pan takes us on a trip to Neverland with Wendy and her siblings and where we meet the Lost Boys (and Tinkerbell, of course). They battle it out with the menace that is Captain Hook, who wants his revenge on Peter for the loss of his hand.

This one’s a real piece of classic literature when it comes to Disney films. Watch this Disney gold with your youngest.

2. Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast
We move to a little later on now, through to 1991. Beauty and the beast is a gorgeous animation about true love. This Disney renaissance tale tells us the story of Belle, who is imprisoned in a castle with a terrible beast prince and his subjects, who have all been turned into household objects.

However, the somewhat arrogant prince must first learn his lesson, if he is to find love.

Emma Watson plays the young woman Belle beautifully in the newer, live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. If you’ve got kids that are slightly older, this Disney adaptation could be one to enjoy this weekend.

3. Mary Poppins

Mary Poppins
Let’s go back a few years now to 1964, where we meet the Banks’ family. Julie Andrews plays Mary Poppins wonderfully in this heartwarming story with some fun characters. One memorable scene in this Disney movie involves lots of laughter on a ceiling!
