So here’s our first of many videos that give a little taste of day-to-day work at Airband – a day in the life of Richard Blackburn, Airband site acquisition manager.
Richard Blackburn is the face of Airband out in the field (literally!). Based in Devon, one of Airband’s key deployment areas, Richard has to forge and nurture relationships with site owners that can facilitate the best deployment of the network and deliver the best possible benefits to the community.
He oversees the setting up of all the key network sites, and has built up a reputation for his negotiation and problem-solving skills, as well as his friendly manner and can-do attitude.
We picked Richard as our first video because after winning Best Rural Employee of the year in the regional Rural Business Awards, he has now been shortlisted for the Best Rural Employee of the Year in the national Rural Business Awards.
So here he is starring in this mini film along with Devon site manager Simon Palmer. We’re very proud of them both. We just hope they can stay grounded after all this excitement 😉
