Airband appoints Jarlath Finnegan as Chairman

Airband, the UK broadband provider focused on connecting rural and underserved communities, has announced the appointment of Jarlath Finnegan as Chairman, following Ian Fishwick’s departure from the role.

Jarlath joins Airband with extensive experience spans both network operators and communications providers across the telecommunications sector and is widely recognised for his role in the growth, consolidation and operational transformation of fibre broadband networks in the UK. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for improving operational performance, strengthening commercial discipline and developing sustainable, scalable and profitable operating models.
Most recently, Jarlath played a leading role in the consolidation and integration of multiple UK fibre network operators, bringing together platforms, teams and systems to create more efficient and scalable wholesale and retail broadband infrastructure. At Airband, Jarlath will work closely with the executive team and the Board to support the company’s continued development while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence and financial performance. His appointment reflects Airband’s commitment to building a resilient and sustainable business as it continues to expand broadband connectivity across rural communities in the UK.
