Airband announced as finalist in 2019 ISPA Awards

Independent internet service provider Airband was announced as a finalist in the 2019 ISPA Awards last week. This comes shortly after its announcement of extended capability following an extension to its fleet and a significant recruitment drive to meet increased demand.

This is the 21st year of the ISPA Awards – which makes them the longest running and most prestigious awards for the UK’s internet industry.

The ISPAs are judged by a panel of industry experts alongside technical testing by independent advice website Thinkbroadband, and Airband was shortlisted in Best Rural ISP category.

The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on July 11 at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane Hotel in London.

It currently has networks spanning Worcestershire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, North and South Wales, Devon and Somerset.

The firm’s expansion has been via both government-led infrastructure projects and independent community-led projects.
